Subject:\u00a0 Minutes of Board Meeting<\/span><\/p>\n 1.\u00a0 The Meeting was opened by President Vicki Edwards, at 7:00 PM, at 9803 S. 21st Circle, Bellevue, NE.\u00a0 With 3 of 4 directors present, a quorum of the Board did exist.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 2.\u00a0 Attendance at the Meeting included:<\/span><\/p>\n Vicki Edwards \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Marcel Moreau<\/p>\n George Ziska, Jr.<\/p>\n Kathi Narlock<\/p>\n Ron Strawn<\/p>\n 3.\u00a0 The minutes of the meeting held on 12 May 15, were approved.<\/span><\/p>\n 4.\u00a0 Treasurer\u2019s Report:\u00a0 Treasurer Janelle Smith provided that following status to the Secretary:\u00a0 Great Western Checking Account:\u00a0 $21,871.88; Fidelity Money Market:\u00a0 $44, 209.92; Progress on 2015 Fundraising Goal:\u00a0 118.8%\u00a0 (When 2015 Deployment expenses are added back in.)<\/span><\/p>\n 5.\u00a0 Finance Director\u2019s Report:\u00a0 With the Finance Director position vacate, the Secretary discussed the following: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n A.\u00a0 Cans for 2 X 4\u2019s:\u00a0 The current Al can price is only at $0.25 per lb.\u00a0 Ron Strawn mentioned that you can get a $0.05 per lb coupon by going online to Can-Pak.<\/p>\n B.\u00a0 Church of Nativity, Burke, VA Designated Offering, Jan 16:\u00a0 No new developments.<\/p>\n C.\u00a0 Bowl-a-thon, Mar 16:\u00a0 Ron Strawn thought his wife would be willing run this event again.<\/p>\n D. Offutt Catholic Chapel Designated Offering, Apr 16:\u00a0 The Secretary will request that the Crew be considered for an offering next year.<\/p>\n E.\u00a0 Other Ideas:\u00a0 Possible candidates to fill the vacant Finance Director position were discussed.<\/p>\n 6.\u00a0 Old Business:<\/p>\n A.\u00a0 Update of Membership Roster:\u00a0 No updates made.<\/p>\n B.\u00a0 Combined Federal Campaign:\u00a0\u00a0 With the denial of the Crew\u2019s 2015 application, Vice-President Marcel Moreau read a draft letter to be sent to past CFC donors in August 2015, explaining\u00a0 that the Crew is not longer with in the CFC\u00a0 and the benefits of donating directly to the Crew where a 100% of the donations would go to our cause.\u00a0 All present thought the letter was good and Marcel will email a copy of the letter to the Secretary for action.<\/p>\n C.\u00a0 VA Connection (Bob Corsi):\u00a0 Bob sent the consolidated 2015 deployment disc with over 600 photos.<\/p>\n D.\u00a0 Crew Website ( http:\/\/www.accrew.org<\/a> <\/span>):\u00a0 Kathi selected 65 photos from the consolidated disc for the website.<\/p>\n E.\u00a0 Colorado (CO) Connection (Gary Piper):\u00a0 No new developments.<\/p>\n F.\u00a0 Volunteer Recruitment in Bellevue:\u00a0 Secretary will again try to schedule pancake breakfast with Offutt AFB Catholic Confirmation students in Feb 16.<\/p>\n G. 2015 Deployment (work starts on 5 Jun 15):\u00a0 The Crew paid a total for $43,000 to the Good Shepherd Chapel and nearly $51,000 overall for the Corder home.\u00a0 The Corder Family moved in on Friday, 19 June 2105.\u00a0 A 4-year comparison of home costs was reviewed.\u00a0 The Lowe\u2019s kitchen cabinet order was missing one 15 X 30 wall cabinet which was scheduled to arrive after the Finish Crew left the site and, in addition, all the door fronts have to change because the previous design has been discontinued.\u00a0 Harry Wallace, the Good Shepherd Chapel P.O.C., will handle correcting the kitchen cabinets.\u00a0 The onsite crew list included 27 volunteers (24 men and 3 women) with a by state volunteer tally of:\u00a0 NE:\u00a0 6; VA:\u00a0 15; OH:\u00a0 1; FL:\u00a0 1; MD:\u00a0 1;\u00a0\u00a0 AL:\u00a0 1; CO:\u00a0 2.\u00a0 No changes were recommended to the Personal Items to Bring List.\u00a0 Five drivers were paid a total of $1,393.82, which was a nearly $800 drop in gas costs from last year due to a lower price per gallon prices.\u00a0 Berthing at St. Joe\u2019s Inn cost $1,800 for 23 one-week stays and 4 two-week stays.\u00a0 Food costs in costs increased to almost $1,600, since now the Crew is responsible for the catering of the first evening meal.\u00a0 The Crew bought a full line of appliances for the Corder Family from Lowe\u2019s in Somerset, including a washer and a dryer, a stove, and a refrigerator at a total cost of $2,062.50.\u00a0 VA bought beds from Hometown Furniture.
