1.\u00a0 The Meeting was opened by President Vicki Edwards at 7:00 PM, at 9803 S. 21st Circle, Bellevue, NE.\u00a0 With 4 of 5 directors present, a quorum of the Board did exist.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 The minutes of the meetings held on 14 Janaury 2016, were approved.<\/p>\n
4.\u00a0 Treasurer\u2019s Report:\u00a0 Treasurer Janelle Smith provided the following status:\u00a0 Great Western Checking Account:\u00a0 $85,055.79; Fidelity Money Market:\u00a0 $24,212.44; Progress on 2016 Fundraising Goal of $55,000:\u00a0 74.3%\u00a0 (However, when the two $20,000 advance payments for this year\u2019s deployment are added back in the progress is 147%.)<\/p>\n
5.\u00a0 Finance Director\u2019s Report:\u00a0 The following items were discussed:<\/p>\n
A.\u00a0 Cans for 2 X 4\u2019s:\u00a0 One attendee brought cans.<\/p>\n
B.\u00a0 Church of Nativity, Burke, VA Designated Offering, 9-10 Jan 2016:\u00a0 Bob Corsi reported the offering is now at $40,000.<\/p>\n
C.\u00a0 Bowl-a-thon, Sat, 1:30 PM, 12 Mar 2016, Leopard Lanes:\u00a0 Fourteen bowlers have now signed up the 21st<\/sup> Annual Bowl-a-thon.<\/p>\n D.\u00a0 2016 Financial Plan:\u00a0 Based on total donations received, we now have raised at 149.9% of the $55,000 goal.<\/p>\n E.\u00a0 Offutt Air Show, 30-31 Jul 16: \u00a0No new developments.<\/p>\n F.\u00a0 Other Ideas:\u00a0 None.<\/p>\n 6.\u00a0 Old Business:<\/p>\n A.\u00a0 Update of Membership Roster:\u00a0 No updates made.<\/p>\n B.\u00a0 Combined Federal Campaign:\u00a0\u00a0 The CFC of the Midlands recommended that we apply in the CFC geographical area which includes McCreary County, KY, where the Crew does its work.\u00a0 The Secretary applied and received the 2016 application from the Indiana, Kentucky, Southwest Ohio CFC (CFC 0283).\u00a0 IRS Form 990 with specific CFC instructions were provided to the Treasurer.\u00a0 The Secretary will complete and submit the application which is due on 4 Mar 16.<\/p>\n C.\u00a0 VA Connection (Bob Corsi):\u00a0 Bob has provided a list of 20 VA volunteers with a availability chart for Crew volunteers for building of 2 homes.<\/p>\n D.\u00a0 Crew Website ( http:\/\/www.accrew.org<\/a> <\/span>):\u00a0.<\/p>\n E.\u00a0 Colorado (CO) Connection (Gary Piper):\u00a0 Two volunteers (Gary and Corey) will be coming from CO for the Siding Crew.<\/p>\n F.\u00a0 Volunteer Recruitment in Bellevue:\u00a0 Peggy Hoffman will provide access to the Capehart Chapel for the pancake breakfast at 7 AM on Sun, 14 Feb 16.\u00a0 The Confirmation Class will be divided into three 7-student shifts.\u00a0 We will be wearing Crew shirts and hats.\u00a0 Rick Narlock will be the meat griller.\u00a0 The Secretary and Finance Director will make a Commissary run for supplies at 9 AM, Sat, 13 Feb 16.<\/p>\n G. 2016 Deployment (work starts on 2 Jun 16):\u00a0 Floor plans for the Moore and Gibson homes were approved by the families on 31 Jan 16.\u00a0 The Gibson Family requested a space of a dishwasher which will eliminate the 4-drawer base cabinet.\u00a0 The existing trailer\/house has been removed from the Gibson lot and the family has moved to an apartment.\u00a0 The onsite Crew list now stands at 33 volunteers (29 men and 4 women).\u00a0 The Construction Director is concerned about overloading the trailer which will include double 5X7 scaffolding and crew materials.\u00a0 The Assistant Cook is planning to rent a van for hauling the food and kitchen equipment.\u00a0 The following additional equipment is planned to the deployment:\u00a0 drywall sander (bought and reimbursed to Jim Karr),\u00a0 Two siding nailers (to be bought and reimbursed to Gary Piper);\u00a0 one back-up roofing nailer, a 2nd<\/sup> palm nailer, 8 scaffolding feet and 5 planks, and 6 storage totes (to bought and reimbursed to the Construction Director).\u00a0 The Cook requested and received Board approval for the Crew to buy a small chest freezer for storing Crew food.\u00a0 The Construction Director requested that the President start looking for 2 over-the-stove microwaves.\u00a0 The Board approved adding a dishwasher to the possible appliances for the Crew to buy for the Gibson Family.<\/p>\n H.\u00a0 2015 IRS Forms provided to the Treasurer:\u00a0 IRS Form 990-EZ is due on 15 May 16.<\/p>\n I.\u00a0 Build 2nd<\/sup> Home in June 2016, due to Estate Gift from Nora Sinclitico of VA ($76,844.26):\u00a0\u00a0 The Secretary corrected a previous requirement that IRS Form 990-EZ can be still be used for 2016, as long as our annual total revenue does not exceed $200,000.<\/p>\n 7.\u00a0 New Business:<\/p>\n A.\u00a0 Ridenour Family (2013):\u00a0 Grandmother Gladys Head, the chief caregiver of the two grandchildren, has died of cancer.\u00a0 The Secretary requested that Good Shepherd Chapel Treasurer Kay Morrow monitor the situation to ensure that the two grandchildren do not lose their home when the house deed is transferred from Gladys Head\u2019s estate.<\/p>\n B.\u00a0 NE Department of\u00a0 Labor (Jean Shafer, 402-471-9952):\u00a0 The President and the Secretary both received inquiries from the NDOL about a George Cooper fraudulently trying to set up an employee account in the name of the Appalachian Construction Crew.\u00a0 Since George Copper is not part of the Crew and we have now employees, the account wes not established by the
