\nSubject: Minutes of Board Meeting
\n1. The Meeting was opened by President Vicki Edwards at 7:00 PM, at 9803 S. 21st Circle, Bellevue, NE. With 4 of 5
\ndirectors present, a quorum of the Board did exist.
\n2. Attendance at the Meeting included:
\nVicki Edwards
\nMarcel Moreau
\nGeorge Ziska, Jr.
\nRon Strawn
\nMark White
\nKathi Narlock
\n3. The minutes of the meeting held on 8 September 2016, were approved.
\n4. Treasurer\u2019s Report: Treasurer Janelle Smith was not present to provide a status.
\n5. Finance Director\u2019s Report: The following items were discussed:
\nA. Cans for 2 X 4\u2019s: No new developments.
\nB. Dinner Raffle (Oct-Nov 16): Ron has received the $300 in Pizza Ranch certificates. 208 tickets were
\ndistributed to those present. The Secretary has yet to find a local store which will allow the selling of the raffle tickets.
\nC. Church of the Nativity, Burke, VA Offering: To be scheduled for Jan 17.
\nD. Bowl-a-thon: To be scheduled in Mar 17.
\nE. Offutt Catholic Chapel Offering: Set for Sun, 8 Jan 17, per Chapel Accountant Mary Burden on 27 Sep 16.
\nF. Combined Federal Campaign: Results to be known in Mar 17.
\nG. 2017 Financial Plan: The Crew is now at 2.6 % of the 2017 Fundraising Goal of $75,000.
\nH. Other Ideas: None.
\n6. Old Business:
\nA. Update of Membership Roster: No changes made.
\nB. 2016 Combined Federal Campaign Indiana, Kentucky, Southwest Ohio Drive: Still waiting for changes to 2017
\napplication rules which will hopefully define the required CPA review of 2016 accounting books.
\nC. VA Connection (Bob Corsi): No new developments.
\nD. Crew Website ( http:\/\/www.accrew.org ): Secretary requested that Kathi Narlock added info on the Pizza Raffle
\nto the website.
\nE. Colorado (CO) Connection (Gary Piper): Gary indicated that he is planning to make the 2017 Deployment with
\nCorey. Previous volunteers Jim Magill and Beth Collins are considering coming.
\nF. Volunteer Recruitment in Bellevue: Still await word whether the Offutt Catholic Chapel Confirmation Class is
\ninterested in helping with a Pancake Breakfast on Sun, 19 Feb 17.
\nG. 2017 Deployment (work starts on Thurs, 1 Jun 17): After sending copies of 2017 proposed plans for using 32-ft
\nroof trusses to cover the front porch to the Crew Leaders, Framing\/Roofing Crew Leader Bob Corsi objected to the front
\nporch side eaves as being too much work and Siding Crew Leader thought the revised roof scheme would add a lot more
\nwork. The Construction Director did not originally propose this revised roof scheme but thought the porch side eaves
\nwere necessary for some rain protection for the front porch and to make a less complicated intersection of the wall and
\nupper roof for the vinyl siding. Without the porch side eaves, a metal break would be required to make metal flashing at
\nthe wall-siding intersection. Harry Wallace, the Good Shepherd Mission P.O.C. and Bob Corsi then proposed using all
\n32-ft roof trusses with 52-ft long front porch. The Construction Director rejected this idea as being too costly and would
\nadd much more work for the Support and Siding Crews. The Construction Director will now revise the 2017 drawings
\nand material list back to the front porch gable roof used in recent past years.
\n7. New Business: None.
\n8. The Crew Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 PM and the next Board Meeting was set for 7 PM, Thursday, 10 Nov 16, at
\n9803 S. 21st Circle.
