Subject: Minutes of Board Meeting<\/p>\n
1. The Meeting was opened by President Vicki Edwards at\u00a08:00 PM in the Capehart Chapel Upper Annex at Offutt AFB.\u00a0With 4 of the 5 directors present, a quorum of the Board\u00a0existed.<\/p>\n

3. The minutes of the meetings held on 13 September\u00a02006, were reviewed and approved.<\/p>\n
4. Treasurer\u2019s Report: Treasurer Janelle Smith provided\u00a0the following status: Great Western Checking:\u00a0$2,376.47; Fidelity Money Market: $46,603.55; Progress\u00a0on 2007 $35,000 Goal: 3.4%<\/p>\n
5. Finance Director\u2019s Report: With Finance Director Mark\u00a0White out-of-town until Jan 07, the Secretary provided\u00a0the following status:<\/p>\n
A. Civic Auditorium\/Rosenblatt Concessions: The\u00a0Secretary took the 3-hour alcohol serving training course \u00a0at the Civic on 3 Oct 06. The course presented the cues\u00a0for detecting intoxication and provided many video<\/p>\n
examples for practicing your \u201cpeople skills\u201d for handling\u00a0various serving situations. A 20-question multiple\u00a0choice test was given at the end of the course and a\u00a03-year certificate is to be mailed to successful test\u00a0takers. The course appeared to be worthwhile training.<\/p>\n
B. Outback Dinner Raffle: With 126 $10 tickets\u00a0sold, an amazing revenue of $1,260 was generated from the\u00a0raffle of 13 $20 gift certificates. Rick Narlock was the\u00a0winner and was present to receive the certificates from\u00a0Outback Manager Tom Powell. The Secretary will send a\u00a0thank you letter to the manager.<\/p>\n
C. Lincoln Airshow, Sun, 24 Sep 06: Seven Crew\u00a0volunteers worked the Ice Cream Stand and had gross\u00a0revenue of $3,653. Two Crew volunteers ran a Film Stand.\u00a0Before leaving, Mark provided the POC\u2019s for the Airshow\u00a0but was not aware of any projections on when our share of\u00a0the profits would be sent.<\/p>\n
D. Thanksgiving Bake Sale, Sat-Sun, 18-19 Nov 06,\u00a0Both Chapels: Those present were reminded of this event.<\/p>\n
E. Pancake Breakfast, Sun, 21 Jan 07, Both\u00a0Chapels: Those present were reminded of this event.\u00a0Note that Jim Collison is taking over as the new\u00a0Protestant Youth Group director.<\/p>\n
F. Super Bowl Subs, Sun, 4 Feb 07, Capehart\u00a0Chapel: Those present were reminded of this event.<\/p>\n
G. New Wing Chaplain Policy on Chapel Fundraising:\u00a0By email correspondence between the Chaplain Swanson and\u00a0Ron Strawn, there appears some changes on the way for\u00a0fundraising in the Base Chapels. Ron\u2019s email and the\u00a0Secretary\u2019s memo of 6 Oct 06, tried to explain that the\u00a0Crew has obtained approval from Chaplain Anderson for its\u00a0five upcoming Chapel fundraisers; however, a meeting with\u00a0the new Wing Chaplain may be in order to find out the new\u00a0directives.<\/p>\n
J. Other Ideas: President Vicki Edwards proposed\u00a0selling \u201cscript\u201d or coupons for local stores as done at\u00a0St. Mary\u2019s and St. Matthew\u2019s. Vicki will research this\u00a0idea further.<\/p>\n
6. Old Business:<\/p>\n
A. Update of Membership Roster: The Secretary\u00a0passed around the roster for updating and provided the\u00a0Board Members present with a copy of the roster.<\/p>\n
B. Combined Federal Campaign: A 2006 distribution\u00a0check for $183.75 was received on 27 Sep 06. The\u00a0Secretary indicated that the Crew\u2019s CFC number has shown\u00a0up in the Chapel Catholic bulletin.<\/p>\n
C. VA Connection (Bob Corsi): Bob requested the\u00a0final costs on the Perry home. The Secretary has\u00a0requested Sister Nancy to provide the numbers.<\/p>\n
D. 2006 Deployment, 2-15 Jun 06: No new\u00a0developments to report.<\/p>\n
E. Crew WebSite ( http:\/\/www.middypuppy.com\/acc ):<\/p>\n
President Vicki Edwards indicated that the 2006\u00a0deployment photos have been put on the website. The\u00a0Secretary will forwarded by email the approved minutes of\u00a0the 13 Sep meeting to Webmaster Sarah Edwards.<\/p>\n
F. Colorado (CO) Connection (Gary Piper): No new\u00a0developments.<\/p>\n
G. Account Signature Cards: The Treasurer indicated paperwork for changing the signing authority on\u00a0the money market account was sent in Feb 06. The\u00a0Treasurer will verify that the signing authority has been<\/p>\n
updated.<\/p>\n
H. 2007 Deployment, 7-20 Jun 07: The Construction\u00a0Director passed around the Crew list. Vice-President Ken\u00a0Zeiger was authorized by the Board to purchase the\u00a0Menard\u2019s 6\u2019 X 12\u2019 trailer for $2,798 plus sales tax. The\u00a0trailer will be in Ken\u2019s name and he will insure and\u00a0license and install a rack on the top for 24-foot\u00a0extension ladders which the Crew will provide additional\u00a0reimbursement to Ken.<\/p>\n
I. 2007 Offutt Chapel Designated Offering: The\u00a0Secretary indicated that Catholic designated offering\u00a0for the Crew will be held on 10-11 Feb 07 and will be a\u00a0split second collection. With this situation, the\u00a0Secretary recommended that Sister Nancy not come and\u00a0speak at the services. The 11 AM Protestant Service\u00a0will have designated offering but the date was not known.<\/p>\n
J. Adopt-A-Road, Sat, 14 Oct 06 at 9 AM: Six\u00a0volunteers signed up.<\/p>\n
7. New Business: None.<\/p>\n
8. The Crew Meeting was adjourned at 8:52 PM. The next\u00a0meeting is scheduled for 8 PM, Wed, 15 Nov 06, in the\u00a0Capehart Chapel Annex.<\/p>\n
