Subject: Minutes of Board Meeting<\/p>\n
1. The Meeting was opened by President Vicki Edwards at\u00a08:00 PM in the Capehart Chapel Upper Annex at Offutt AFB.\u00a0With 4 of the 5 directors present, a quorum of the Board\u00a0existed.<\/p>\n
2. Attendance at the Meeting included:<\/p>\n
Vicki Edwards; Ken Zeiger; George Ziska, Jr.; Mark White;\u00a0Ron Strawn; Marilyn Galaska; Kathi Narlock; Ed Donohoe;\u00a0Gary Sogard; Chaplain Travis Allen<\/p>\n
3. The minutes of the meetings held on 9 August 2006,\u00a0were reviewed and approved.<\/p>\n
4. Treasurer\u2019s Report: The Secretary provided the\u00a0following account status from Treasurer Janelle Smith:<\/p>\n
Great Western Checking: $7,566.49;<\/p>\n
Fidelity Money\u00a0Market: $40,26.79;<\/p>\n
Progress on 2007 $35,000 Goal: 3%<\/p>\n
5. Finance Director\u2019s Report: Finance Director Mark\u00a0White provided the following status:<\/p>\n
A. Lucinda Pins: President Vicki Edwards\u00a0purchased the remaining 7 pins with a $70.00 check given\u00a0to the Secretary to get to the Treasurer.<\/p>\n
B. Civic Auditorium\/Rosenblatt Concessions: Per a\u00a0recent email, Centerplate is conducting 3-hour alcohol\u00a0serving training at the Civic on 3 Oct 06, at 6 PM.\u00a0Those present preferred to take an 45-minute online\u00a0version which will require getting a password from\u00a0Centerplate.<\/p>\n
C. Outback Dinner Raffle: Finance Director Mark\u00a0White has talked to the Outback manager again and the\u00a0raffle prize changed from the dinner buffet for 20 people\u00a0to 13 $20 gift certificates. Mark distributed the $10\u00a0tickets. The money, tickets stubs and unsold tickets\u00a0need to be returned to Mark by 7 PM, 3 Oct 06, at the\u00a0Capehart Chapel, in order that the ticket stubs make the\u00a0drawing to be held at Outback on 4 Oct at 5 PM. Mark is\u00a0working on getting Offutt Chapel bulletin inserts for the\u00a0weekend of 23-24 Sep 06. The raffle will also be\u00a0advertised on Outback table tents.<\/p>\n
F. Lincoln Airshow, Sun, 24 Sep 06: Mark will\u00a0submit the list of our 9 volunteers by the 15 Sep\u00a0deadline. The carpool will be leaving the Capehart\u00a0Chapel parking lot at 6:45 AM so we can take the required\u00a0training session for the ice cream bar stand which\u00a0starting at 8 AM. The gates open at 9:30 AM. We will\u00a0be wearing Crew shirts and hats. One free meal and a\u00a0volunteer soda cup will be provided for each volunteer.\u00a0The profit sharing method is still not clear and Mark\u00a0will follow up on this item.<\/p>\n
G. Thanksgiving Bake Sale, Sat-Sun, 18-19 Nov\u00a006, Both Chapels: Those present were reminded of this\u00a0event.<\/p>\n

I. ACC NE Fundraising Strategy: Mark will be\u00a0out of town from Oct 06 to Jan 07.<\/p>\n

5. Old Business:<\/p>\n
A. Update of Membership Roster: The Secretary\u00a0passed around the roster for updating.<\/p>\n
B. Combined Federal Campaign: A 2006 distribution\u00a0check for $97.28 was received on 24 Aug 06. The\u00a0Secretary indicated that this fall\u2019s Offutt AFB kick-off\u00a0breakfast will be held on 19 Sep 06, at the BPS Lied\u00a0Center. A table has been reserved for the Crew which\u00a0needs to be set up by 7 AM. All Board members are\u00a0planning to attend the kick-off breakfast, except for the\u00a0Treasurer.<\/p>\n
C. VA Connection (Bob Corsi): No new developments.<\/p>\n
D. 2006 Deployment, 2-15 Jun 06: Sister Nancy\u00a0indicated that the Perry Family is settling into their\u00a0new home and are very happy.<\/p>\n
E. Crew WebSite ( http:\/\/www.middypuppy.com\/acc): President Vicki Edwards indicated that PayPal for\u00a0donations (or any other alternative) will not be\u00a0implemented because a fee is involved. Vicki is\u00a0currently selecting photos from the two photo CD\u2019s with\u00a0800 photos of this year\u2019s deployment.<\/p>\n
F. Colorado (CO) Connection (Gary Piper): No\u00a0new developments.<\/p>\n
G. Account Signature Cards: The signing\u00a0authority on the money market account still needs to be\u00a0resolve by the Treasurer.<\/p>\n
H. 2007 Deployment, 7-20 Jun 07: The\u00a0Construction Director passed around the Crew list.\u00a0Vice-President Ken Zeiger provided a list of five\u00a0possible options for a deployment trailer. The consensus\u00a0was that the best alternative was the Menards 6\u2019 X !2\u2019\u00a0for $2,898. Ken will check whether Menards will lower\u00a0that price for our non-profit group.<\/p>\n
I. 2007 Offutt Chapel Designated Offering: The\u00a0Secretary indicated that Catholic designated offering\u00a0for the Crew will be held on 10-11 Feb 07. The 11 AM\u00a0Protestant Service will have designated offering but the\u00a0date was not known.<\/p>\n
6. New Business:<\/p>\n
A. Adopt-A-Road: The time for picking up trash\u00a0on 25th Street was set for Sat, 14 Oct 06 at 9 AM.<\/p>\n
