2. Attendance at the Meeting included:
Vicki Edwards
Ken Zeiger
George Ziska, Jr.
3. The minutes of the meetings held on 15 November 2006, were reviewed and approved.
4. Treasurer’s Report: The Secretary provided the following status from Treasurer Janelle Smith: Great Western Checking: $1,872.84; Fidelity Money Market: $46,990.94; Progress on 2007 $35,000 Goal: 2.4%
5. Finance Director’s Report: With Finance Director Mark White out-of-town until Jan 07, the Secretary provided the following status:
A. Civic Auditorium/Rosenblatt Concessions: No new developments.
B. Thanksgiving Bake Sale, Sat-Sun, 18-19 Nov 06, Both Chapels: The Bake Sale netted $627.30 with a Chapel check received on 5 Dec 06. Sales at Capehart Chapel were $$349.30 (Sat: $47.00; Sun: $302.30) and SAC Chapel raised $278.00.
C. Pancake Breakfast, Sun, 21 Jan 07, Both Chapels: Those present were reminded of this event. Since the new Protestant Youth Group Coordinator does not appear interested in being the Chapel sponsor of this event, the Secretary is working with Ann Warner, the CCD Coordinator, to possibly have the 6th and 7th Grade CCD classes to be the new sponsor for the breakfast.
D. Super Bowl Subs, Sun, 4 Feb 07, Capehart Chapel: Those present were reminded of this event. Cursillo is the Chapel sponsor.
E. Offutt Air Show, 5-6 May 07: The Secretary sent an email to Major Dennis Shook, the Air Show coordinator, indicating the Crew’s desire to work concessions stands for one share of the profits. Although the Air Show is much earlier this year and not on the current financial plan, the Board concurred that it would be good idea to work the Air Show from the continuity standpoint, as well as, the potential revenue since the Blue Angels are scheduled to perform.
J. Other Ideas: President Vicki Edwards indicated that we could sell Nativity car magnets during the next Christmas season.
5. Old Business:
A. Update of Membership Roster: Those present indicated no changes to the roster.
B. Combined Federal Campaign: A 2006 CFC distribution check for $104.73 was received on 18 Nov 06.
C. VA Connection (Bob Corsi): Bob indicated that he will start working on volunteers for the onsite crew in Jan 07.
D. Crew WebSite ( http://www.middypuppy.com/acc ): The Secretary provided some questions on the website to President Vicki Edwards for Webmaster Sarah Edwards.
E. Colorado (CO) Connection (Gary Piper): Gary indicated that his son-in-law wants to come to KY this year.
F. Account Signature Cards: The Treasurer indicated to the Secretary that although Fidelity has our new info which was submitted in Feb 06, additional paperwork is being faxed to get the new signature authority into effect.
G. 2007 Deployment, 7-20 Jun 07: The Construction Director passed around the Crew list and indicated that the list needs to be sent to Bob Corsi in VA. Vice-President Ken Zeiger is working on the following additional items for the deployment trailer: spare tire ($135 at Jensen Tire or possible less at Menards); top ladder racks ($350); insurance ($36 per year); 4 locking devices (for the 2 doors, the wheel and the hitch will cost $50); sign lettering (cost still bring sought). Due to the Crew’s fund reserves, the Construction Director has asked Sister Nancy for a second project which could be an addition type project as we did in 2005 or possibly building another home which we could get to the “weatherproof” stage without doing the electrical and plumbing work.
H. 2007 Offutt Chapel Designated Offering, 10-11 Feb 07: The Secretary indicated that the 11 AM Protestant Service designated offering will be on 11 Feb 07. Due to the Catholic offering being a split, second collection, the Secretary is recommending that Sister Nancy be not asked to come this year. The Secretary will work on the Crew’s annual report to donors which will be a Chapel bulletin insert for the weekend prior to the designated offerings.
I. New Home for the ACC?: The Secretary reported that Deacon Tom Frankfield’s resignation was pulled since this action would only get a new deacon and not provide motivation for getting a Catholic priest. The Secretary will continue to monitor the situation.
6. New Business: None.
7. The Crew Meeting was adjourned at 8:50 PM. The next meeting is scheduled for 8 PM, Wed, 10 Jan 07, in the Capehart Chapel Annex.
